NOMINEE EXHIBITION AT THE KUNSTHALLE BREMEN, 27 AUGUST TO 30 OCTOBER

We congratulate Leunora Salihu on her nomination for the Prize of Böttcherstraße 2022. The Prize of Böttcherstraße in Bremen is one of the highest endowed awards in the field of contemporary art in the German-speaking world and will be awarded this year for the 48th time. Ten positions of contemporary art will be presented at the Kunsthalle Bremen from August 27 to October 30, 2022. The jury includes Dr. Yilmaz Dziewior (Museum Ludwig, Cologne), Johann Holten (Kunsthalle Mannheim), Prof. Susanne Pfeffer (Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt am Main) Prof. Christoph Ruckhäberle (Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst, Leipzig) and Dr. Andrea Schlieker (Tate Britain, London). The award ceremony will take place on October 18.

Leunora Salihu was born in 1977 in Prishtina, Kosovo. In 1999 she fled to Germany and studied first at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule in Kiel and later at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf. In her sculptures, Salihu combines different materials such as ceramics, wood and metal. She has received several awards and has had a number of solo exhibitions in national and international institutions. Leunora Salihu lives and works in Düsseldorf.
