The innovative concept is not a construction fair nor lifestyle event: SavoirFaire explicitly shows only the very latest innovations in combination with traditional craftsmanship.
PremieresVisitors will discover the latest trends in high-quality design, furniture, lighting, technology, sanitary facilities and floor & wall coverings, as well as innovations in the field of restoration and sustainable techniques. Various novelties will be introduced that are new to the Belgian and even to the European market.
Personal connection in the limelightAs an international icon, the Grand Casino Knokke, designed by the renowned architect Léon Stynen, provides a beautiful home for this enchanting experience. The personal contact with the participants is unique, which makes the craftsmanship even more apparent. Architects, interior designers, design labels, craftsmen and enthusiasts meet each other, which will lead to exciting new projects. In this way, SavoirFaire earns a place in the long tradition of high-end cultural events in Knokke.
The casino represents the iconic character of Knokke in the 20th century that attracted the "beau monde" with its magnificent villas in the Zwin. Both on and off stage, visitors enjoyed world-class performers. It was the Nellens family that put the Casino on the international cultural map in the 20th century with exhibitions of artists such as Max Ernst, Raoul Dufy, Marc Chagall, Ossipp Zadkine, Joan Miró, Fernando Botero, Paul Delvaux and Keith Haring. It also often featured young artists such as Joseph Beuys, Panamarenko, Robert Rauschenberg and Andy Warhol. The Magritte Room with its 72-meter-long mural "The Enchanted Domain" continues to this day to exude the cultural richness of the Grand Casino Knokke.
DestinationIt is no coincidence that SavoirFaire takes place in Knokke-Heist. In turbulent times there is one real estate market that always holds its own, which place appeals more to the imagination as a national reference point for projects with a high level of finishing?
Both in terms of villas, apartments and rural homes, a sense of comfort or an interaction with nature (indoor & outdoor living) is often central. The clientele in Knokke-Heist often looks for that bit extra, people from all over the country can come here to find inspiration for projects that are realised with the greatest care by professionals. This in terms of design, techniques, materials as well as innovation.
Largest Showroom of BelgiumSavoirFaire makes Knokke, measuring 56 square km, the largest showroom in the country. Several projects with a high degree of finishing in the region serve as reference points. During SavoirFaire, guests are taken with VIP shuttles to reference projects, where they can see the craftsmanship of the participants realised.
