The selected works range from historical avant-garde through contemporary classics to present-day art. A total of 209 galleries from 30 countries; the 171 galleries included in the General Programme and the 44 forming part of the curated programmes will show paintings, sculpture, installations, photography, video, new media, drawings and prints.

A total of 209 galleries from 30 countries; the 171 galleries included in the General Programme and the 44 forming part of the curated programmes will show paintings, sculpture, installations, photography, video, new media, drawings and prints.

GENERAL PROGRAMMEA selection of 171 Spanish and international galleries made by the Organising Committee of ARCOmadrid 2020, among which 31 are projects dedicated to either one or two artists (Solo/Duo). Artists’ projects: 35 galleries present projects by artists specially designed to be installed in different spaces around the fair.

CURATED PROGRAMMESDialogues: 10 galleries selected by Lucía Sanromán -Director of Laboratorio Arte Alameda de Ciudad de México- and Agustín Pérez Rubio -Curator Berlin Biennale 2020-. In collaboration with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID). ‘It’s Just a Matter of Time’: 16 artists from 13 galleries selected by Alejandro Cesarco –artist and independent curator-, Mason Leaver-Yap -independent curator-, and Manuel Segade –Director of Dos de Mayo Art Centre, Madrid- in a discussion programme. Opening: 21 national and international galleries with a career of a maximum of 7 years, with the objective of providing the Fair with new artists and scenes. The programme is made up by galleries selected by Tiago de Abreu Pinto -independent curator- and Övül Durmuşoğlu-independent critic and curator.

ACTIVITIESINTERNATIONAL COLLECTORS PROGRAMMEARCOmadrid 2020 offers an exclusive International Collectors' Programme which includes exclusive visits to institutions and private collections, and preferential access to the Fair. In this way, ARCOmadrid ensures the presence of a large group of active collectors and purchasers, suggested by participating galleries, who will visit the Fair, increasing the volume of its business.

NEW COLLECTIONISMWith a view to renewing and opening the doors of the market to new, potential collectors, ARCOmadrid is setting in motion several initiatives during the Fair: #mecomprounaobra, promoted by Fundación ARCO, offers the public the chance to buy works of contemporary art for a value of up to 2,020 euros; First Collectors by Fundación Banco Santander, the advisory service for new buyers, and the Young Collectors programme, which includes inviting around thirty young international collectors to the fair.
