Sotheby’s is pleased to offer a superb selection of American, European and English silver and vertu, ceramics, and Russian works of art, with an emphasis on private collections, including several single-owner sequences. Silver and vertu highlights include an important pair of Regency candelabra by Paul Storr, a set of twelve plates from the Orloff service of Catherine the Great, and a rare Irish Celtic revival yacht trophy (estimate $20/30,000).

The sale will also feature a fine selection of 18th-and 19th-century European ceramics including Chelsea ‘Hans Sloane’ plates, a pair of Meissen Kakiemon candlesticks from the Japanese Palace as well as a collection of large KPM and Sevres-style vases. The fine selection of pre-revolutionary Russian Works of Art includes ceramics, enamels, icons, and Fabergé. The highlight is a single-owner sequence of forty-two lots of cigarette cases, including those by Fabergé, Khlebnikov and Mikhail Perkhin.
