NEW YORK, 1 March 2016 – This April, Sotheby’s is pleased to present At Home, our third annual Designer Showhouse & Auction in New York as part of Decorative Arts Week. Twelve interior designers and design firms from the tri-state area and the West Coast will each create one room of a home constructed within the fifth-floor exhibition space of Sotheby’s Manhattan headquarters. Sotheby’s has invited emerging and established members of the design community with a broad range of artistic approaches and experience to participate in At Home: Sotheby’s Designer Showhouse & Auction. Selecting works from an array of Sotheby’s departments, including 20th Century Design, English & Continental Furniture, Ceramics, Fine Arts, Prints, Silver, and Photographs, the designers will juxtapose the contemporary and the traditional to create diverse out-of-the-box spaces that embody the essence of modern-day luxury living. The Showhouse will be open to the public 9 – 16 April, along with Sotheby’s Decorative Arts Week exhibitions, culminating in a dedicated auction on 17 April 2016.Participating designers Bunny Williams, Sandra Nunnerley, Scott Sanders, Shelley Morris Interiors, Richard Rabel Interiors + Art, BHDM Design, Bradley Bayou Design, Fawn Galli Interiors, Jenny Wolf Interiors, Robert Passal Interior and Architectural Design, Patrick Mele, and CRD Associates will independently create rooms within a 6300 square foot architectural design by Trey LaFave Architecture and Interiors.
