Art and antiques worth more than £1,000,000 go on sale at Yorkshire’s major spring antiques event, The Pavilions of Harrogate Antiques & Fine Art Fair, from 21st - 23rd March 2014

Held in two sumptuous rooms of the Pavilions of Harrogate venue, the fair offers something for everyone, from vintage jewellery, silver and ceramics, to fine paintings, period furniture, copper and brass, bronze Art Deco statuary, period rugs, fine glass, impressive mirrors, medical and scientific instruments, antiquarian maps and prints; Chinese and Japanese collector’s items and much more.

New exhibitor D.B.Gems will be showing a glittering range of jewellery including a superb Art Deco onyx and diamond ring, a pair of stylish 1950’s gold earrings and a Portuguese topaz brooch, dating from around 1730.

In other areas, Victorian and Edwardian inlaid and decorative furniture will be shown by Yorkshire dealer Mark Buckley Antiques from Yorkshire while Melody Antiques from Chester promise a range of 18th and 19th century oak and mahogany furniture including farmhouse dressers, farmhouse tables and sets of ladder-back chairs.

Porcelain specialist John Newton from East Yorkshire will be showing a range of eye-catching silver overlaid Continental porcelain from the mid-Twentieth Century, now very much in vogue. From Manchester, M.& N. Rugs will be specialising in colourful Persian rugs and carpets; while Jack Shaw Antiques from Yorkshire both specialise in fine period silver.

The Pavilions of Harrogate is part of the Great Yorkshire Showground, located just a few minutes from Har- rogate town centre. It has ample parking and is well known for its many facilities, which include high quality catering and fine dining.

Admission to the fair will be £5.00 and the open hours will be 11am-5pm daily. The fair will open with a spe- cial Reception when refreshments and canapés will be served.
