Not only Italy’s very first art fair, Arte Fiera is also the very first sector-specific trade show on the yearly art calendar. Strategically located in Bologna and with a widely acknowledged informative breadth of vision, Arte Fiera has always been a major cultural landmark for Italian art. With the new artistic direction headed by Simone Menegoi, the 2019 Arte Fiera is entering an exciting phase of renewal on all fronts designed to consolidate its leadership position.

The key word of this new era is “selection”. Arte Fiera 2019 has introduced a completely new criterion for exhibitor participation: galleries have been invited to present a limited selection of artists.

The aim is to put the accent on in-depth specialist presentations, with exhibitor galleries submitting focused curatorial programmes. We are convinced that it is only by delivering this sort of excellence that a trade show will attract a quality collector public and assert itself on the market.

We also hold great store by the welcome we give visitors. Enjoyment, good food and conviviality will be an all-important part of the new Arte Fiera.
